This Privacy Policy applies to the StayBill mobile application and all related services. By using StayBill, you agree to this policy.

StayBill ("we," "us," or "our") is operated by Cybernetix Technologies, a company incorporated in India. We provide a mobile application that helps short-term rental hosts create, send, and track payment charges to guests.

This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and protect your personal information when you use our mobile application, available on Google Play and the Apple App Store.

The short version: We collect only what we need to run the app. We never sell your data. You can delete your account and all data at any time.


Section 01

Information We Collect

Information you provide directly:

  • Account information: Your full name, email address, and password when you create an account
  • Property information: Name and location of your rental property
  • Charge information: Guest names, charge amounts, reasons, notes, and booking references you enter
  • Photos: Images you upload as evidence for charges (stored securely in our cloud storage)
  • Payment information: We do not store credit card or bank account details. All payments are processed by Stripe, Inc.

Information collected automatically:

  • Device information: Device type, operating system version, app version
  • Usage data: Features you use, screens you visit, actions you take in the app
  • Log data: Error logs, crash reports to help us fix bugs

We do not collect: Social security numbers, government IDs, precise real-time location, contacts, or any data from other apps on your device.

How We Use Your Data

We use the information we collect to:

  • Create and manage your StayBill account
  • Process and store the charges you create
  • Send transactional emails (account confirmation, payment receipts) via Resend
  • Generate PDF invoices for your charges
  • Process subscription payments via Stripe
  • Improve app performance and fix bugs
  • Respond to your support requests
  • Send product updates and new feature announcements (you can opt out anytime)

We process your data based on: (1) performance of our contract with you, (2) your consent, and (3) our legitimate business interests.

Section 03

Data Sharing

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information. We share data only with trusted service providers necessary to operate StayBill:

We may also disclose your information if required by law, court order, or to protect the rights and safety of our users.

Section 04

Data Storage & Security

Your data is stored on Supabase servers located in the United States. We implement the following security measures:

  • All data transmitted over HTTPS/TLS encryption
  • Row Level Security (RLS) — your data is only accessible by you
  • Passwords are hashed and never stored in plain text
  • Photos stored in private cloud storage with access controls
  • Regular security audits of our infrastructure

Data Retention: We retain your data for as long as your account is active. When you delete your account, all personal data is permanently deleted within 30 days.

Section 05

Your Rights (US Users — CCPA)

If you are a California resident, under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) you have the right to:

  • Know what personal information we collect and how it is used
  • Delete your personal information (subject to certain exceptions)
  • Opt-out of the sale of your personal information (we do not sell data)
  • Non-discrimination for exercising your privacy rights
  • Correct inaccurate personal information

To exercise these rights, email us at privacy@staybill.app or use the "Delete Account" option in the app Settings screen.

For all users (Global): You may also request a copy of your data, request correction of inaccurate data, or request data portability at any time by contacting us.

Section 06

Children's Privacy

StayBill is not intended for children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we become aware that a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, we will delete such information immediately.

If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided us with personal information, please contact us at privacy@staybill.app.

Section 07

Cookies & Tracking

StayBill is a mobile application and does not use browser cookies. We use the following local storage technologies:

  • AsyncStorage: Used to maintain your login session on your device so you don't have to sign in every time
  • Local cache: Used to store your recent charges for offline viewing

You can clear this data at any time by logging out or uninstalling the app.

Section 08

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any significant changes by sending an email to the address associated with your account and by posting a notice in the app. Your continued use of StayBill after changes take effect constitutes your acceptance of the revised policy.

These Terms of Service govern your use of StayBill. By creating an account, you agree to these terms.

Section 01

Acceptance of Terms

These Terms of Service ("Terms") constitute a legally binding agreement between you ("User," "Host," or "you") and Cybernetix Technologies ("StayBill," "we," "us," or "our"), governing your access to and use of the StayBill mobile application and related services.

By downloading, installing, or using StayBill, you confirm that you are at least 18 years of age, have read and understood these Terms, and agree to be bound by them.

If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use StayBill. You may delete the app at any time.

Section 02

Description of Service

StayBill is a mobile application designed to help short-term rental hosts create, send, and track payment charges to guests for additional fees including but not limited to: damage fees, late checkout charges, extra guest fees, pet fees, and cleaning charges.

StayBill provides tools including:

  • Charge creation and management
  • Photo evidence capture and storage
  • Payment link generation via Stripe
  • WhatsApp and email communication tools
  • AirCover claim package generation
  • PDF invoice generation
  • Charge history and reporting

Important: StayBill is a tool to facilitate communication and payment requests between hosts and guests. We are not a party to any transaction between hosts and guests and are not responsible for disputes, unpaid charges, or the outcome of Airbnb Resolution Centre claims.

Section 03

Account Registration

To use StayBill, you must create an account by providing accurate and complete information including your full name and email address. You are responsible for:

  • Maintaining the security of your account password
  • All activity that occurs under your account
  • Notifying us immediately of any unauthorized use at support@staybill.app
  • Ensuring your account information remains accurate and up to date

You may not create accounts for others without their explicit permission. One person may not maintain multiple accounts.

Section 04

Subscription & Billing

Billing: Pro subscriptions are billed monthly on the date you subscribe. Payments are processed securely by Stripe, Inc.

Cancellation: You may cancel your Pro subscription at any time from the Settings screen. Your Pro features remain active until the end of your current billing period. No partial refunds are provided for unused time.

Refunds: We offer a full refund within 7 days of your first Pro subscription payment if you are not satisfied. Contact support@staybill.app to request a refund.

Price changes: We will provide 30 days notice before any price increases. You may cancel before the new price takes effect.

Section 05

Acceptable Use

You agree to use StayBill only for lawful purposes. You must not use StayBill to:

  • Create fraudulent or false charges against guests
  • Harass, intimidate, or threaten guests
  • Violate any applicable laws or regulations in your jurisdiction
  • Infringe on the intellectual property rights of others
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems
  • Use the service for any purpose other than legitimate short-term rental host activities
  • Upload false or misleading photo evidence

Violation of these terms may result in immediate account termination without refund.

Section 06

Payments & Stripe

StayBill integrates with Stripe, Inc. to process guest payments. By using the payment features you also agree to Stripe's Terms of Service available at stripe.com/terms.

StayBill charges no commission on guest payments. Stripe charges a processing fee of approximately 2.9% + $0.30 per transaction, which may be passed on to guests.

We are not responsible for failed payments, chargebacks, payment disputes, or any issues arising from Stripe's payment processing services.

Section 07

Disclaimer of Warranties

StayBill is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not warrant that:

  • The service will be uninterrupted or error-free
  • Guests will pay charges sent through StayBill
  • AirCover claim packages will be accepted by Airbnb
  • The service will meet your specific requirements

Your use of StayBill is at your own risk. We are a tool to facilitate communication — not a guarantee of payment collection.

Section 08

Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, StayBill and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages including but not limited to:

  • Loss of profits or revenue
  • Loss of data or business interruption
  • Costs of substitute services
  • Any amounts exceeding the total fees you paid to StayBill in the 12 months preceding the claim

Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion or limitation of certain damages, so some of the above limitations may not apply to you.

Section 09

Governing Law & Disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of India. However, for users located in the United States, any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of StayBill shall first be attempted to be resolved through informal negotiation by contacting support@staybill.app.

If informal resolution fails, disputes shall be resolved through binding arbitration in accordance with the Indian Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996, except that either party may seek injunctive relief in any court of competent jurisdiction.

Class action waiver: You agree to resolve disputes individually and waive your right to participate in class action lawsuits against StayBill.

Section 10

Termination

We may terminate or suspend your account at any time for violation of these Terms, with or without notice. You may terminate your account at any time from Settings → Delete Account.

Upon termination: your right to use StayBill ceases immediately, your data will be deleted within 30 days, and any outstanding Pro subscription will not be refunded unless within the 7-day refund window.

Frequently Asked Questions

How do I delete my account?

Go to Settings → scroll to bottom → tap "Delete Account". All your data will be permanently deleted within 30 days.

What if a guest refuses to pay?

Use the "Generate AirCover Claim Package" feature on the charge detail screen. StayBill creates a complete documentation package you can submit to Airbnb's Resolution Centre.

How do I cancel my Pro subscription?

Go to Settings → Current Plan → Cancel Subscription. Your Pro features remain active until end of the current billing period.

Is my data secure?

Yes. All data is encrypted in transit and at rest. Row Level Security ensures only you can see your charges. We never share your data with third parties except the services listed in our Privacy Policy.

Can I get a refund?

Yes — within 7 days of your first Pro payment. Email support@staybill.app with your account email and reason.
